I just don't see Miles giving up that kind of guaranteed money and at the same time put his coaching legacy in jeopardy. He could stay here and with talent alone remain mediocre.

But I think the timing is right for both sides. I would like for him to be able to return for special occasions down the road to a roar from the crowd. Had we beat Bama this year, timing would definitely have been perfect.

I would offer to waive any penalty fee, too. The timing for Jimbo's or Patterson, who shares the same agent with Miles, is good, too.
