When did people stop being ashamed of being lazy POS???
One of my main principles at work is that if something needs to be done, and you are available and capable of the task, then you do it.
"That's not my job" = fired
Applies top to bottom. I perform nursing, secretarial, custodial, IT, and maintenance tasks in some form or another every day, even though "it's not my job."

In fairness, a lot of companies encourage this behavior/way of thinking. If you tell a guy his job is to do X and his performance review is all about how well he does X, he's not going to do Y if doing Y prevents him from focusing on X.
I doubt that's what is going on here, but it happens a lot.
