MSB Lawyers: Ray Rice and Damages

Will/can Rice sue the NFL for damages for lost compensation from week two through today. Also, can he argue that this decision inhibited him from finding any employment this season, thus requiring the NFL to pay him for the max compensation that he may have received this season?
If any of these suits are possible, will he pursue them and what are his chances of at least reaching a settlement?

It would probably have to be part of a larger suit against the NFL. Rice's contract probably makes it very difficult to sue the league on just about any matter, especially one concerning disciplinary matters.

Yes the hearing is next week, Rice is asking for $3.5 million.

He'll recover his lost wages in a separate appeal that's upcoming, because any player who is on the roster on opening day is guaranteed their entire salary for that year. Therefore, he'll get 14 game checks in backpay and you can take that to the bank.
