Pellerin is a very good, athletic qb

I think the tigers should take him this year. He seems to fit what LSU has done this season at least. I know he plays against some smaller kids in a smaller division, but this kid is a baller. Very good running qb.

I saw him live for the first time. The kid looks a lot like Cam Newton. His arm mechanics and running style match Cam's game. He's got a live arm too. He needs some polishing mechanically, but he's got the arm strength, size, and athleticism to be a good SEC qb.

The kid already committed to Ole Miss and has no offer from LSU. If LSU offers, I see him going the way of Dak Prescott and honoring his commitment. He is a good runner, but he is freakishly large for his division. His arm is not any better than Jennings and probably worse.

It's hard to judge based on his stature compared to some of those kids, I agree. I thought I would be less impressed by his arm in person, but he can sling it when he has his feet set. He throws some balls a bit casually at times, but he's accurate down the field for big plays. He draws a lot of attention when he moves in the pocket. He will definitely be a kid we look back on wondering what the heck happened with his recruitment if he ends up elsewhere in the SEC. I do think it will be difficult to swing him to LSU, but I'm telling you now, you are about to hear some news about a couple of qbs the LSU staff is evaluating. Pellerin is in that mix. We'll see what happens.

Bench presses 390. His coach said the strongest player he has ever coached at any position. I would take him in a heartbeat.

That does not surprise me. There was no way he was going to be denied tonight. Looking at LSU's style recently, this kid should have been a take a year ago. I understand the guys the staff believes in for the future, but this kid could help us sooner. I can't imagine that he can't at least be a 4th down, short yardage, or goal line threat almost instantly. I know he will be competing with 3 other guys, but he'll be the biggest, fastest one. There certainly is room for a guy like him.

I'm in just because I want to seem smart when this thread is bumped at some future point after he is lighting things up. So hell yeah, take Pellerin.

When I first saw him on the prospects list about 8-10 months ago, and looked him up, I was sure that he would have gotten an offer. I think he'd be a great pickup for this year.
He could sit in the system for a couple years and challenge for the starting position in 2017.

It will Pellerin vs Patterson this Friday in the Dome. That should be a battle.

As good as I believe Pellerin is, the Wing T doesn't do much for his college evaluation. Hell, he threw one pass last night.
That being said, he is exceptionally talented and has a big-time arm. He also runs very well and is a smooth high school QB. He has the prototype QB build as well, but his touch and accuracy are a lacking a bit. I know Cameron expressed a lot of interest in him at Junior Day too. As soon as the kid got a committitable offer from an SEC school, he took it, and I don't blame him, although I do believe LSU is in play still.
Pellerin and CHSNI play Calvary in the state championship Friday at 1:30, and you could be looking at LSU's QBs for the 2015 and 2016 classes going head to head. Should be a good one.

I'd take anything Indest says with a grain of salt. He is a complete tool.

Indest is one of the most successful coaches in the state. He wins every where he goes.

Hell I like it that he's taking snaps from under center regardless of it's Wing-T or I-Formation. The kid has good play action and pocket presence. And on his highlights on hudl the kid hit a slant route! A SLANT ROUTE! (Wish our QB's could hit a Slant)
Hope LSU offers this kid.

They both may be ole miss leans. Shea was wearing an Ole Miss hat last night after game so LSU better get on it

I liked what I saw from him last night.

Pellerin is a great QB, fast, strong, live arm and smart. I'd love to see him win in the dome but however Calvary is on a completely different level team wise. They've beaten top ranked 4a and 5a schools

That same Calvary team should've lost to CHNI last year in the semis (CHNI missed 3 chip shot field goals) and they both lost equal amounts of talent. CHNI's D-line impressed the hell out of me last night but I could see Patterson giving that secondary some major problems.

Calvary didn't lose any talent....they lost 6 seniors. The whole team was sophomores last year and they didn't play well at all. This match up in the dome should be a helluva game but Calvary is just on another level...Pellerin will get a true test this week with ALL of Calvary's DBs have D1 offers and average about 4 picks a game. Calvary also has Orlando Bradford and Shun brown both commited to Arizona. Should be a great game though...at least I hope so.

Pellerin will most likely run the ball 25 times. How well do these dbs tackle 230 lb qbs? I would imagine Calvary will be favored slightly. Very contrasting styles. It will be interesting to see how it plays out.
