While very true European slavery was miniscule when compared to the slavery in the Americas at this time. Entire wars were carried out and tribes decimated only to capture slaves.

Although I disagree with the idea, burning heretics at the stake was a punishment for a crime. Cutting out thousands of peoples hearts to appease the wind god is a bit different, sorry you are incapable of distinguishing the difference.
