1. It's well-known that this administration employs a very loose definition of "bipartisan". Having Senators like Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe cast their ballot in favor of a bill does not make it "bipartisan" in any true sense, and you know it. These are examples of Republicans who may as well be caucusing with Democrats.

2. Not knowing the full text of the bill or its provisions, I refer back to my original post, and can only assume that if Mr. Reid allowed it to come to a vote, it was indeed in lockstep with what Obama wanted, and was thus nothing more than a political ploy.
