My god you fricking loser, that is not the point here. It's bitching about the shady as frick business practices of RTC, possible corruption with the local gov't, and their vulture, predatory like watching for potential tows and over charging out the arse.
Nobody is disputing they have a legal right to be doing what they're doing but rather his they carry themselves and conduct business.

Towing an illegally parked vehicle is not shady.
Not accepting checks is not shady.
Not accepting credit cards is not shady. If I was in their business I would not risk NSF checks and charge backs either.
I do not care if they "prey" like vultures and tow illegally parked vehicles within minutes. Do not park illegally. Parking illegally for 1 nanosecond is parking illegally.
I do not know about overcharging or "corruption" with local government. I have seen friends with tows in the city here with $230 bills so maybe everyone is overcharging.
The fact remains if you do not park illegally you should not have to deal with any of that crap.

They deal with pissed off entitled college kids on a daily basis. I probably would be an arse to some of those people too especially if it's the attitudes on some of the online reviews which can be summed up as:
"Those assholes towed me even though there was a sign I missed/that was not clearly marked and there were plenty of spaces so it should not have mattered."
ETA: Not to mention all the parents those kids probably send after Riverside defending their babies that could not have done anything wrong.
