Team has to come together and learn how to play as one. Right now you can tell Grey and Hornsby are trying to find their balance on the team. They don't know how they fit yet. Add in the fact that we have 0 experienced depth and their will be some struggles. If we're having the same problems 20 games into the season, then you question the coaching.

Loses like this are going to hurt LSU when it comes time for the NIT committee to decide who's in and who's out

Well, when you're previous coach was Trent Johnson, it's probably gonna take a while. People jumping off after the first loss are fricking insane. It's the third game of the damn season and we got absolutely nothing from our 2nd best player or our bench.
Get out of here with that bullshite. People can't rant and rave about jones recruiting ability then blame the failure of the players he recruited on the previous coach anymore when there isn't a single player from the previous coach on the roster.
Go back to propagating the football staff's lies about Brandon Harris. Actually don't. Just stop in general.

Couldn't have said it better. We get very one dimensional at times and don't have a true threat at the three-point line

We have every piece that a competitive team needs, size, speed, length, and range. Just need some work and discipline

What if Simmons pulls a Mac Marshall?

He has a ton of work to do on himself as well.

nailed it. Neither of those guys look comfortable right now. I don't know what the deal is. Gray hurt us a lot tonight. Stupid turnovers, late passes, and passed on some easy layups.

I dont even think we have that much talent
We have 2 NBA forwards and 2 guards who can score...that's about more than you ask for in CBB these days. We are very talented, we just fricking suck at doing the right things.

Why did we play ODU first I think that was a rip but oh well. Despite what yall think I believe this team is still good

It's only game 3..don't lose the faith.
Ive seen every second of all 3 games plus the exhibition. I've seen nothing that resembles a tournament team.
Gray has no idea how to finish a fast break.
Gray and Hornsby came in as 90% free throw shooters.....have missed multiple so far
Mickey disappeared tonight.
We get no easy baskets.
We cant defend a high ball screen
I could go on but i want to vomit

We do.
We have a two really good players, two guys we don't know enough about, 1 good role player, 1 guy who has the potential to be a really good player, and then 4 guys who have the potential to become good role players. We have more talent than we've had in the past, but it's not like we're brimming with 5 stars.

Hickey wasn't terrible. If hickey was terrible. What would u call Gray, Hornsby, or Quarterman.
Was terrble last year...he def had talent..but his attitude was shite. He was suppose to be our safety on the zone and go oick off passes and he often went for steals when they werent there because he was out of position by lazy play and would lead to layups.
He often ran over screens like a 3rd grader and get beat a ton.
He had talent...but lst year minus game or 2 he chose not to put it out for whatever reason his bad mood was.
Anyone who watched games last year saw hickeys effort and attitude which was a reason most werent heartbroke when he left.

I'm not defending LSU for this one..but it's evident by multiple posts in this thread that a lot of people here don't watch college basketball outside of LSU and the NCAA tournament

It is not like Johnny has 9 McDonalds All Americans on this team.
Shite is getting old though.

Early foul trouble cost us the game
I'd say horrible shot selection, no movement without the ball, Gray can't finish, Mickey disappears for most of the game, horrible at the FT line, no one crashing the boards, and turn-overs. WTF did they do well?
Everything that I expected to see from this team isn't happening. Maybe I'm wrong but I thought JG & KH were +90% FT shooters. I expected to see both of those guys putting pressure on teams off the dribble. We take shots and 3 guys are sitting outside of the 3pt line. No one attacking the glass. That was just a shitty performance that I wish I wouldn't have seen.
