It's hard to be ready when you don't ever get a chance to play.
JFF, Jameis, and McCarron didn't get ANY snaps the year prior. 2 of these guys won the Heisman their first year starting, and the other won multiple national championships. If the guy can play, he can play. He doesn't need 5-10 plays a game to be better prepared for the next season...

Then why burn a year of Harris' eligibility?

Did they have a Jr ahead of them that started all but 1 game the previous season?

That was my worse fear coming into the season, that Jennings would get the starting job and that Les wouldnt remove him.

Neither one of those guys were true freshman when they got real playing time and all of them had personnel on staff that was able to develop them to a certain extent. Everybody can see that Harris has the talent, throw him in there and let him learn the game. He's not going to learn how to progress through his reads without game action. I feel like we wasted an entire season by not giving Harris a chance to develop and be ready to roll next season.

He'll look at JT Barrett. Was third string until Miller's injury two weeks before the season started. He beat out Cardele and had first string reps for all of a week or two. Took him a couple of weeks of growing pains. but he has been on fire ever since. He has beaten all the freshman records for Ohio State QBs minus the passing stat which he will beat. Actually, he might have already beaten it. He's also beaten Miller's single season TD record. The guy still has at the very least. 3 more games. At the most, 6.

Saying all of that, I still just want to see Harris start the bowl game.

There is a HUGE difference here. This is a stupid comment as both QBs had really solid QBs in front of them and both had experience.

Trying to compare that with our current situation at LSU is absurd!
