Plenty of coaches do this. Hyperbole and flat out bullshite from spring practice happens everywhere. It's a running joke, if you happen to keep up with any team in addition to LSU.

I would rather have BS hype from the Spring than what happened when the the Spring Game was televised and JJ sucked. Remember that? All summer long there was a constant dialog about how bad the passing game was.
