Question for you: Can you make a list of 10 coaches that have been able to sustain his record against top 25 teams over the past decade that have done better than this? It's harder to do than you imagine.

Also, if you're earning $4.3M a year, would you rather go 6-6 with the potential to go 6-6 the following season and get fired, or have a decade of 10-2/10-3 and still have a chance to compete?

You're literally asking him to go against the odds and take a $8.6M pay check rather than a $43M paycheck.....unless you're assuming that Harris will get us to undefeated next year.....

He goes against the odds every game he starts/plays Jennings - the worst QB in the country.
Harris could be just as bad, but he could not be worse.
It makes sense, in this case at leasat, for the present AND the future.
At least he could keep up "chess" appearances.
