Change is imminent. New QB that plays great or new HC...

We all love Miles and yet get incredibly frustrated with him from time to time as well. A love hate relationship, which is part of being a fan I guess.
Miles loves LSU- no question and we love him for that, and he's a popular figure in college football. He is famous, which is good for LSU. Overall he does very well, but in this league, finishing 2nd, 3rd, or 4th is not hard to do and frankly is unacceptable, right?.
2011 was magic, so that gives us hope we can do it again with continued great recruiting classes. But our hated Rival pooped on the 2011 dream season with the gift of a mulligan.
As time passes on, there is always a time for parting ways.
Everyone knows a team can not win big games against elite competition or play for championships without solid play from your QB. Miles talks of playing for championships all the time. Surely he knows we must have a great QB to achieve these lofty goals. I am sure that's why he went and hired Cameron. Solid hire in my judgement
However, as a fan base by a large majority, I believe we are done having QB issues at LSU which seems like forever. Mett, JR, Flynn were the best we have had under Miles, that's 3 good years out of 10. He only recruited one of these players.
It's amazing Miles has done so well with lousy QB play. It speaks to the level of talent on the roster year in and year out. We are that one guy short of greatness. The guy that touches the ball on every offensive snap.
It's like trying to start that Chainsaw we used to joke about describing how awesome LSU is/was, but it just won't start, you pull and you pull...then you kick it in frustration.
Change is on the horizon. If Miles plans on being here much longer he will hope and pray Harris is the guy or he will leave LSU in ugly fashion.
We know Jennings isn't the guy, and we know there is no one behind Harris.
an 85 million dollar program depends on it- Pressure ensures change!

right
so I don't know why everyone is freaking out
either Miles changes QBs next year and Harris is legit
or Miles sticks with Jennings and probably has 2 more mediocre seasons, which would probably land him in the hotseat if LSU went 3 seasons with 4-5 losses
I know everyone wants things to be fixed RIGHT NOW, but that just isn't how the real world works

And we waste arguably our best recruiting class ever

If people are drilling Miles in person like this board has the last 2 days, then he is planning some change right now, if he isnt planning on changing anything then he just doesnt give a frick anymore.

I'm just telling you reality
you can "not accept" it if you wish
it won't change anything

As in next game? Next two years? I don't see anything happening quick or maybe at all if the coaches continue to harp on execution and fixable issues. Especially now with a bye, this may have Miles digging in deeper to "fix" the problem before aTm. I won't cast the entire coaching staff out just yet but man something other than what we have seen this year needs to be put in place and evaluated. Hell run the damn wildcat, the veer, run and gun I don't give a shite as long as it is different from what we are currently doing.

He won't throw the ball is he thinks it's risky and potentially gives the game away in turnovers.
Miles showed last year, we will toss it all over the field if we have an NFL type guy in the pocket. Mett was awesome and it was fun to watch!
We are hiding our QB's that aren't NFL caliber...Lee, JJ and Jennings. Lee was actually pretty good passer.
The issue is we are investing so much in Jennings who will never sniff an NFL scout team.
Miles wanted to win this year and has now gone too far down this road.

Hopefully Miles makes some significant changes on offense (not just the QB) because it's best for the program and he wants to win, but he can run 8-win seasons from here through 2018 and he won't be fired.

Oh I understand the reality. The reality is that Miles will not change. And LSU will not compete for the SEC west again during his tenure. I understand it and accept it and I will continue to bitch about it on this board. It is what it is.

For anyone thinking Miles is going to change his offensive philosophy is just fooling yourself. He will be the same coach as he has always been and will always be. You will be frustrated and never get any answers out of Miles that you are looking for. We have to hope that one of the quarterbacks takes command of the offense and produces.

Nothing is changing, so just keep telling yourself 7-5 or 8-4 and a bowl appearance is acceptable! Being average is a good thing?!

Miles is a confident guy. You don't become as successful as Miles without being confident in your beliefs. It is hard to change from the philosophy that has made you successful.
With that said, if he wants to continue to be successful, he needs some self awareness.

:sigh:
I guess if you just want to predict doom and gloom, go ahead, but evidence shows that this is not the case

the only change I want is for Miles to get a QB that is a superstar and let him play and use his talent
I love running the ball over people and winning old school. But you can only do it with a good QB to keep defenses honest and pick up important 1st downs to sustain drives.
Miles philosophy is fine, it's the QB play that isn't.

miles needs to go. He will not change his thinking process. Harris WILL not play, nothing will change. I'm soo disapointed that the MEDIA is not holding him accountable. 4+Million a year and thats the best would could get. bullshite.

4 million a year for 4 losses? going out on a limb but that's probably a bit too much money for those results.
