Worker Comp claims are not going to help if you didn't file soon after the injury. It won't help if you've been doing any drugs. First thing they're going to do is drug test you. If it comes back positive, you'll never get any help from insurance. If you try to file later, the insurance will claim you were under the influence and waited to get a clean report. Either way...if you've been on anything, you won't get any help from WC.
