Bought me ointment and bandages and paid for a visit to an urgent care. UC only told me to keep it wrapped up and cool

Seriously, if this happened at work you should have filed a worker's comp claim. Then you should see a doctor on their dime and their time. Never take a work related incident lightly. If you don't file anything and it gets infected, the company will say you did it at home and it is your responsibility. The old addage of better safe than sorry applies here. Get a file started and get to the doctor.
