That's an assumption. No one is trying to cover anything up.
Like The People said in the original thread, people don't realize how often motors officers are hit. If the original poster hadn't posted anything, the release of the story about Alabama's medical personnel would probably be the first time people heard about it unless they knew those involved.

Why was BR news trying to cover this up?
I admit it seems odd. If you run over someone right now, it's making the six o clock news.
Now to have an officer hit after a game and it take four days to hit, that seems odd to me.
No serious charges pressed. The equivalent of hitting a police car in a traffic accident. Maybe even less than.
