You don't have to score 40 points to win games, and it only take one point to win.the offense probably had more to do with our chances to come away with the win last night, than our defense did.I guess time of possession and limiting the number of plays Bama ran last night had zero effect on the game. Our offense sustained long drives and consumed a lot of the clock, allowing our defensive players to stay fresh. The defense did play great last night, but in the end when called on to make a stop and win the game, they just couldn't get it done. When the game was on the line the offense responded and put us ahead. There are many different strategies, that can be emplemented to win football games. You don't have score every possesion while holding your opponent scoreless to do so. So yes the blame rests with defense, it doesn't matter how well they performed all night, if they couldn't get it done when it mattered the most. The offense put us in a position to win and the defense didn't secure it. I think your knowledge of football is very limited.
