Bottom line is that this just goes to prove Miles has trouble with game play decisions, ie., clock management, challenges, play calling, etc.....

Not really. It was a good call. He took the time to think it over. He got insight from his crew watching upstairs that said, "No. Don't do it. It was absolutely a catch." He wanted to. Doing so would give them time and allow them to plan and was guaranteed to not have been overturned, per what he was given.
If anything, the bottom line is that his personal play reviewers were awfully sure and convinced him not to throw the flag.
