Of course it is, but it works. The media effectively convinced the American people that George Bush had an IQ below 80 because of the way he pronounced "nuclear" and because he was from Texas. Just imagine how much easier that will be with a candidate when he asks that if we evolved from ape, why are there still apes?
It would be a media bloodbath.
