You can't fight section 8 because the federal government will sue you for housing discrimination. It's the feds that help it to spread. Unless you can abolish section 8 in D.C., you can't stop it. The only way to combat it is to raise property values high enough that Section 8 ceases to be profitable on even the largest of properties. This is extreamly difficult to do on account of how low the overhead is on Section 8 properties and the fact that the federal government is very consistent with paying those rent bills.

The only way to stop it is to not allow developers to purchase homes in your neighborhood.

False. It may kill Tigerland, but it won't kill LSU. Gentrification is already beginning in Old South Baton Rouge. Inside of two decades, the north side of campus will be a trendy neighborhood, especially along the streetcar between downtown and LSU.

Midcity gentrification is in full swing, and the improvements along government street will only help.

The future is bright for BR.

So if one side of LSU is overrun by dole scum...you're okay with that? With thugs robbing students regularly?

Panty raids and Adderall sales should be the main "crimes" on campus. Not armed robbery by thugs just outside the gates.

This would be a far better goal for the new congress than more Obamacare and Benghazi shite
