aggressive or conservative defense?

How aggressive will chief try to be with defensive calls? The Ole Miss game was by far the most aggressive defensive play calling I've seen from him this year and obviously it worked and players responded. Do we see similar calls vs Bama or does the threat of Amari cause us to play on our heels?

Agressive all the way. Can't throw to amari cooper if you're on the ground

I think he tries to exploit a nicked up line and keep Sims running. Our ends contain and we try not to give them time to hit Coop.

My thoughts exactly

Bama does like to hit Cooper with quick slants and drop backs. We can live with those completions as long as the tackles are made and limit his YAC

As I always am, I'm hoping for aggressive. And if we go this route, I hope we rotate in teuhema a good bit. Think his pass rush could come up big, particularly on a flustered second string tackle or a <100% cam Robinson.

Cooper had 2 catches for 22 yards against arkansas. Whatever they did, Chavis should replicate that

The defensive game plan will probably be to jam the receivers at the line and create a pass rush or a qb hurry and force him to throw on the run and try to limit the downfield throws.

this had a lot to do with a qb that has been pretty bad on the road...couldn't hit the broad side of a barn that game.....I hoping for the same here...

Do something we have never done before. Saban prepares on tendencies. He gets rattled when shite doesn't go as he expects it.

There are some athletic monsters on this defense. Letting them pin their ears back and get after it has brought out their instincts to react and make plays rather than sit back with time to think and second guess.
They'll all be rattled when they realize just how cocky this D is and that they back it up too

Lou Tepper says conservative defense is the way to go

Maybe so if you like the idea of your D staying on the field and eventually wearing down because you're terrified of giving up a big play.

Aggressive. Chief turns em loose

Aggressive all the way. Most of our db's are faster than Cooper. Hurried, frantic throws lead to interceptions. I would like to see at least two pick sixes that were intended for Cooper.

Coop is quick and deceptively fast which probably causes a lot of bad angles and oh shite where'd he go arm tackle attempts. Safeties will have to be where they're supposed to be when corners are expecting help over the top.

I've been going on about Cooper but you're right about our DB's and they will do their job. Defensive success lives and dies with DL & LB

But the offense wears down too. That's the genius.
