From the narrative's perspective: she was giving Cooper the send off blessing they both always wanted. The previous send off was rife with anger. That drove cooper to come back and drove murph to solve to equation out of regret.

They had their second chance and she didn't want to miss it. This was her blessing to him.

With all that said, the entitled snobby grand kids who ignored him in the room almost ruined it...as well as Jonathan Nolan's intended "commentary"
