If i had to choose id for sure take OBJ over Bryant because he does have a better chance at being number 1 but right now with pitt offense on fire and NYG offense is struggling

Im the complete opposite. Proven OC with proven offensive production with a more than competent qb vs new OC with new offensive scheme surrounded by rookies...
OBJ will be money... next year or the next. Pitt needs Ben and co to excel in order to win, and they will continue throwing. NYG are more likely to run first when Rashad comes back.

That was one game in garbage time. In my league Bryant has already outscored OBJ with one less game. They are both wr3
If you're looking at the games you're seeing Beckham's targets multiplying. Bryant's the beneficiary of this torrid run Big Ben is on. That will eventually end. Brown will continue to be first option and when Big Ben comes down to earth Bryant's production will decrease. I don't see anything stopping Beckham from becoming the #1 passing option in NY.
I'm not judging by points scored already. I'm judging by opportunities. I take the player that's trending to get far more opportunities, which is clearly Beckham.

And beckhams numbers are from playing in garbage time

Last year Gordons numbers were from garbage time. Who cares

Fair enough OBJ is talented but I just see Pitt passing way more efficiently than NYG and Bryant will get his fair share of catches. Id take the #2 in a good offense than the #1 in a bad one

Gordon hasnt played a single snap and he's being touted as an immediate WR1. He's good, but the guy throwing the ball has to be just as good in order for it to actually matter.

Not saying that's where all his numbers came from but he definitely benefited from garbage time minutes and playing behind.

Yeah I guess it wasn't as much as I thought. I know a few of these games were out of hand, and after a couple of TDs in the 4th quarter the final score made it look like a close game.

So?

You can bank on Ben throwing 6 Tds just like you can bank on eli throwing 50 times down 30 points
Posted on 11/4/14 at 5:14 pm to GynoSandberg
So having said that, I'm going to go with the guy that's going to be the #1 WR going forward.
There will be weeks ahead where Bryant gives you 3 catches for 30 yards, or worse. His value is completely dependent on TDs. I just happen to believe OBJ's floor is higher than that. Even in a worse offense, he's getting more opportunities.

How many games has Beckham led his team in targets? You're letting one blow out decide for you he's the go to guy?
Randle isn't going away. Donnell gets tons of looks. There is nothing clear cut in that offense

jesus christ man....hes cotchery from 2013....check the stats

Beckham had 1 game where he didn't need a td to get him double digit points and that was a ton of junk time. He is just as TD dependent as Bryant. I think you get the same out of both guys but your acting like OBJ is a clear cut #1 when randle still gets targets
