Military?

This is very common. For many years I had a driver license from TX (where I was stationed for several years) but was registered to vote in NC (where I was stationed at the time). Most states will accept an out of state drivers license (even if it is out of date/expired) as long as you have a military ID with it.

Do states cross check? I mean from your experience you could have voted in both states if no cross checking was taking place?
