I have never seen a leg whip let alone several of them. We got whipped up front. However, 2011 LSU had one of the best fronts ever. My point is that Oregon is not the same team.
The pieces of our defense are also better than the sum. So, hopefully Pellum's learning curve is rapid and they start playing like it.

But Oregon pushed back and had a chance in the end
That's like saying during a fight, one guy beat the shite out of the other, but the loser bit the winner's ear right at the end, then claiming he almost won..

Oregon threw ALL OVER LSU in the 2nd half...embarrassed their secondary.
Yet Oregon only scored one non garbage time TD in the 2nd half.
LSU went up 33-13 and the game was over. Stats after that point don't mean shite.
Stop trying to rewrite history. Oregon got their arse beat.

The Oregon fan here is conceding that we got whipped. Besides, we threw the ball a lot all game long. Just no worse than a lot of good teams that year.
Move on.
Move on.

Carry-on...have a good sleep.

LSU was shell-shocked the entire second half.
It's on TV...so I don't care if people deny it.
IT'S ON TV.
You can see it on their faces.

Well, I am out. Got my answer. This thread is hijacked. Oregon needs to donkey kick Miss St. for us to shed that label.
Adios.
Adios.

Physical teams can usually go into a game and know damn well they're about to stop the other team from running the ball at all, and beat back the opposing defensive line.
Physical teams rotate many players, and deep into games can still gave guys ready to dominate whoever they're matched up with.
Stop the run, establish your run, hit hard. Do this for 60 minutes, for most of the games in a season, and a team will be considered physical, I guess.

Am I?
No ill will.
Just watching the WS.
Half paying attention to this thread.
As I said Oregon is getting too much love this year like Bama.
They both have real issues.
But (like I said) Oregon gets way too much hate for their loss against LSU..and especially their close loss to Auburn.
Oregon is a real contender...and for some reason, everyone wants to paint them as pretenders...
...if Nick Fairely couldn't shut Oregon down...
Then shut the frick up.
Auburn won by a FG at the very end on a miracle run.
Very few teams have shut down Oregon (and the one to do it was from the Pac-12 - Stanford...is the only team to ever truly shut down Oregon)
But that's old news.
Oregon this year...I don't think meassures up just like Bama.

Oregon would have a victory over Michigan State and Stanford - two teams considered "physical" outside the SEC. If not, would it take a win in the playoffs against the SEC West winner? I believe the perception won't be shed until we beat a quality SEC team even as unfair as that seems.
I disagree that they need to beat a SEC team to shed soft. I think the term "soft" when it comes to Oregon is from the lack of beating Stanford year in and year out. Stanford is by far the most physical team they face every year and always lose. If they can finally get it done this year anybody who considers them soft is mistaken. But it always comes down to the fact the one physical team they face every year they lose.

I don't think it would completely eliminate it, but I do think it would help shed the label. I think Oregon also gets the "soft" label from their style of offensive play...
While I agree with you to an extent, how does it differ all that much from Auburn's under Gus?

Bro, It's not like everybody thinks Oregon is dogshit every year. Alabama has been beat by plenty teams who probably aren't as good as some of these Oregon teams. Oregon is usually capable of winning any game on any day.
The problem is they lose almost every game against teams who everyone views as physical.
I think the real problem is ESPN and their Oregon bias though. All they show is Oregon running 600mph down the field 10 times, then scream "they're unstoppable!"
The other day they gushed all over Oregon's highlights, and all I could think was "damn, every time they show an Oregon TD, Cal's score goes up too!"
But naturally, they don't show that

Still but hurt about the thrashing LSU put on your Ducks huh
Didn't even cross the 50yd line the entire first half and we spotted you at our own 13 and you got only 3pts
Soft as frick especially wearing these

My question was how does Oregon shed the label? Apparently beating Michigan State and Stanford is not the answer.
The real answer is because in the recent past, most of the games where Oregon lost was because they couldn't get it done in the trenches. Also, it seems like in general Oregon fades down the stretch, year after year. I guess really the only thing that would help shed the label would be to win the Natty. Especially against an SEC power, this place would implode
