I said nothing about Alabama. Alabama might finish 4th or worse in its own division. What the frick are you talking about?

total rushing yards was 175 for LSU, yet ford had 96 and ware had 99. 99+96=195 LSU actually had 206 yards gained, but 31 lost. you're looking at one little stat and trying to paint the full picture so you don't look soft, but you're soft.
You are thick skulled. I am comparing our stats vs everyone else. We had the 2nd best ypc given up and we gave up less rushing yards than 8 other SEC defenses. The stats are counted the same way for everyone else. I don't give frick that your offense got 200 rushing yards on almost 50 carries. Our offense lost that game. We were thin on defense from injuries, suspension and massive turnover and it was incumbent on the offense to not turn the ball over and sustain some drives. That was a failure in the game.

if you weren't soft, your backups would've stepped up like big time sec schools do

How am I a hypocrite?
Oregon hasn't been soft and they weren't when they faced Auburn.
They played Auburn better than Bama on D...and most of the SEC.
Auburn was in a world of hurt until the end.
That was a solid team and on D.
This team is soft as crap on D.
I truthfully said, I don't think this Oregon team is the real deal and that Mariota is carrying them.
Go re-read my post.
I'm not going to pump up a team or talk shite if I don't believe it because of fandom....
Like some people on here.

Upon arriving at Vanderbilt, Derrick Mason said that he said he was surprised to find that he thought Vanderbilt had as much defensive talent as the team he left at Stanford.
While obviously an exaggeration, I think Mason was somewhat surprised that the defensive talent level at the bottom of the SEC compared favorably to that of upper tier PAC teams.
TLDR
Stanford ain't shite:

True.
Too many fans point out the fumbles.
LSU out-physicaled Oregon.
I think Oregon was just as good - but they got bum-rushed and flustered.
Took awhile for them to realize they needed to pass and then they rolled with the passing over LSU's D and almost won it in the end.

Your special teams as well. The 2011 LSU defense was pretty damn good to say the least.

And Vandy went on to give up 37 to Temple. Coach speak.

It was 33-13 and Oregon scored then LSU scored again to make it 40-20. Then Oregon scored a garbage time TD.
They almost had it

I have NO idea why I do it, but I keep giving these guys credit for at least understanding college football. Then they consistently say things like this and I realize I'm the idiot for thinking they have an idea of how things have gone.

We got beat up in the LSU game. So, I don't know why we need to rehash this. Point is that LSU manhandled everyone on their schedule save Bama. I am not saying the label wasn't deserved.
My question was how does Oregon shed the label? Apparently beating Michigan State and Stanford is not the answer.

LSU dominated but they got a lot of fluke plays.
It wasn't the crazy domination people act like it was.
Oregon threw ALL OVER LSU in the 2nd half...embarrassed their secondary.
But LSU likes to act like the game was never in doubt and they owned it.
Bull.
They did win and pushed Oregon around...
But Oregon pushed back and had a chance in the end.
LSU was shell-shocked the entire second half.
It's on TV...so I don't care if people deny it.
IT'S ON TV.
You can see it on their faces.
