Medical Quarantine laws require a "reasonable plan" and a medical emergency. NJ laws (and I imagine others) usually require a court order and for the quarantine to be the least restrictive necessary.

Since Christie didn't consult with any medical professional or have any solid plan in place he likely fails on all of these counts. Never mind that the nurse was asymptomatic and on her way to Maine when they began her detainment and therefore would not have been a risk to anyone in NJ.

I bet mmcgrath's legal argument (parroted from the Obama administration and its lackeys) will fail in federal court. We'll see soon enough.
