My statement was rhetorical...pretty sure everyone knows what i said.
It's just silly to compare stats...especially when both teams are gaining steam each week.
also, my one gripe with miles is his ability to have the guys play above and beyond for big games and rivals. We can still play well against lesser opponents...but the intensity isn't as great. That's also a little bit of human nature though.

I hate comparing stats, and my original response wasn't directed at you He just called Alabama's offense overrated and I didn't know how else to say that that's pretty silly than to mention that they're 9th in the country in total offense.

Nope. Unless you're just referring to Rush D.

Total yards and rush yards. Ole Miss is slightly better against pass giving up 4 fewer yards per game. Ole Miss allows 3.5 fewer points per game.

Best Rush D we will face all year. Best WR we will face all year. We need to scheme to limit Amari Cooper and plug the gaps in the middle. We need to force Blake Sims to beat us with vertical passes to other WRs.
Hopefully Cam Robinson is out, I think he is already their best OL and starting at LT.
Coincidentally, they will have the same game plan against us. Stop the run and force the vertical pass.
Not sure we will be able to run that well against them so we really need to have some curveballs for the passing game. Our TE's, RB's, and FB's need to be involved in the passing game as receivers to take pressure off of Jennings and keep their LBs honest and off of the line.
ETA:
Don't let the victory against Ole Miss over inflate your confidence in our DL. They have a pretty weak running game and pretty bad OL outside of Tunsil. Bama will downhill run it and that is going right at our weakness. We will need Beckwith to play the game of his life IMO.

Despite Bama fans who swear LSU is no rival to the Tide, you can believe LSU is always a must-win for Nick Saban and the Tide nation. So be sure this game will not be taken lightly in Tuscaloosa and that gallons of midnight oil have already been burned analyzing every tendency and quirk of this (and previous years') team and coaches.
Which is to say, Bama will be ready. And this is another crusade game for them and for us, not unlike our Ole Miss encounter. Only probably even more intense - if that is possible.
To win, stats, record, and ratings are secondary. LSU needs our stadium overflowing with crazed Tiger fans. We need our coaches focused, and with a game plan that is as varied and flexible as it is unpredictable (Nick loves predictability - it's his bread and butter). Our coach must counter his tendency to go to the same well too often.
Besides this, we need our team ready to play hard for the entire game. And we need to get in the head of Nick Saban and a couple of their key skill players, like we did with Bo Wallace.
But if both teams are playing their best, it could ultimately come down to special teams. God help us if it comes down to referees.

For some reason, Landon Collins and Eddie Jackson have had a ton of trouble defending the shallow cross. I can see Trey Quinn going off in this game. Also, If Bradley Sylve is one on one with Dural, I would take that shot every time.

Know how I know you haven't watched Alabama since the WVU game?
Because Sylve hasn't played, until Alabama was beating somebody by 40 points, since then.

Good news is that our passing offense has been vanilla as hell. THIS is the game to try some new wrinkles.

I would love to see crosses over the deep middle. Its been missing this year big time..

LSU's 2 ninety plus yard drives were impressive against #3 Ole Miss.
