I thought he played well on Saturday. I had a bunch of friends who said he played terribly and that he sucked. But they don't really understand the game of football that much, apparently.

He made a lot of good throws. He had good touch. He didn't take a sack. Even a few of his incompletions were good throws. Then he had the one to Quinn on the first drive that should have been pass interference.

The 2nd interception was a great play by the defensive back who was actually guarding the other receiver and broke off his coverage. It's not like Jennings didn't see the safety. It was a well thrown ball, just floated a little.

He's getting better. Alabama's secondary isn't as good, but they'll probably get more pressure on Jennings. We need to roll him out more to get him some easy throws.

ETA: People also need to remember that Ole Miss had the best defense we've faced in the last five years besides 2011 Alabama. Exactly what stats were you guys expecting him to put up against that defense?

Ummm. No, it was horribly thrown and short by a mile. There is no way to defend either INT. Furthermore, deep in his own territory he nearly handed the game to Ole Miss with a near Pick 6 that he was lucky as hell the Ole Miss player dropped, and yet none of you people pumping him seem to care to acknowledge.

He's not very good and the only real thing he's improved on is the screen plays. He's always been able to throw a nice touch pass here and there, but his decision making isn't good enough to make up for the lack of zip he has on the ball.

In the end, his experience is the only reason he's in there, and whole I disagree with it, I understand the thinking from the coaches.
