Im not sure I absolutely believe this. No doubt Mawae's connection to the program & his NFL experience were very intriguing but the guy has never coached, much less at a collegiate level, so I'm not sure the time was right.

When it comes to hiring someone to be an offencive line coach, it is not insane to pass on someone who has never been an offensive line coach.

Moreover, the point is that some people were giving Grimes a pass this year because it's his first year; however, other people were bashing him for the results of the offensive line.

Maybe, those people should have had a little patience.
