We may very well be in a comic book era... but that does not mean that comic book movies are bad per se. Yes, I grant you, a good amount of them will suck diseased moose wang.

Comic books are our generation's Westerns. A ton of Westerns stunk on ice. That having been said, some of the greatest movies ever made were Westerns. Right now Comic book movies are drawing in some big name actors, directors, and screen writers. We will get some good movies out of it.
It might not be your cup of tea genre, but at the moment its funding studios to make movies you might like.
