Lived in metro Jax for a couple years and honestly miss it.

Ten when did you live in Jax?
This place is transforming we are actually getting away from the bible belt reputation and getting cool.

I live in Orlando and it is a nice city. (moved here about 2 years ago)
You can work in Orlando and still have land. I live near down town, however I know a lot of people who commute in from areas like: Oviedo, Deltona, Debarry, Sanford, Lake Mary, Clermont, Apopka, etc...I even know a few people who drive in from Merritt Island but that is a bit far.
Everything depends on where you work and what kind of commute you can deal with. I4 has a lot of traffic however the toll roads around the city flow fairly well.
If you like the outdoors there are a lot of really nice things to do as far as hunting/fishing go.
