White team started each quarter and played both an offensive and defensive series. Then either the GO or CB team went in. When possession changed, the other went in. If there was another change of possession before the quarter ended, the WHITE team went back in and played the remainder of the quarter.
The rules then were that only a player who was on the field when the quarter started could be removed and come back into the game during that quarter.
The Chinese Bandits knew a couple of offensive plays in case they should get trapped on the field due to some circumstance. It never happened. I don;'t think think the GO team had any defensive expertise at all.
The Bandits did play offense once though - I think it was against DUKE. Nobody had scored on the Bandits until the Duke game, and the Bandits told Deitzel 'we want to get our touchdown back.' He allowed them to play a series at the end of the game and they did score. Final score was something like 56-7.
