Germany could not cross the English Channel. What makes you think they could have crossed either Ocean? A land invasion to take over the United States and/or Canada from across the ocean would have been impossible in the 1940s.

It's strictly a hypothetical. I agree that an invasion of the US and S America and Canada would have been all but impossible. I only say those numbers to show how hard a US led liberation of Europe and Pacific would have been alone
