Have three kids all they use are their kindles and the xbox and the wife watches netflix. I just use the computer most of the time so no real need for TV other than next sept. If they only offered an espn package with the SEC network i would be set. Of course theyd probably charge 40 a month just for that. Comcast is definetly worth it just for the internet unless they put a cap on how much downloading per month then i'm screwed

HBO is about to start offering a streaming only service. Huge move for cord cutters. Hopefully starts a trend.

I have DirecTV, my kids (college age) do the online everything. There is nothing they can't find for me to watch if i want to see it. I was close to doing the Dtv sign for a year for $30 a month with free NFL ticket. If you have internet, don't watch much tv and you have kids....yeah... when foosball is over turn it off...I did it in 2011 and 2012

Did this about 2 years ago. Bought an apple tv to use netflix and hulu. I use my parent's log in to use WatchESPN, HBO, and FX. In total it now costs me $13 per month instead of $112.

As soon as you pull the plug, the kids and wife will start whining about not having it. Guaranteed.

As long as ESPN has their contracts, and don't offer online streaming direct, it is impossible to cut the cord for most.

I don't think you can do it and you will be facing re-connect fees when you realize the same thing.

Monitor the actual time you all watch TV over a couple weeks. It is more than you think.
