Don't smoke. My 54 year old cousin died a year ago from Stage 5 lung cancer and he suffered tremendously.

I don't remember him ever smoking.

However, he probably sucked in a lot of second hand smoke working in a restaurant prior to the banning of smokes in public places.

On a serious note, exactly why I am quitting. CT scan showed nodules in both lungs. Scheduled a biopsy, they did another CT and all nodules had just vanished. Doctor had no explanation and I'm not about to tempt fate on this one. I feel very, very fortunate.

Genetics play a huge part in cancer. Almost as much as behavior.
