Worth it. He was getting paid 12th most in SEC... That's just sad. Well deserved.

We were paying Trent 1.2mm and Jones has been MUCH better than TJ. The 1.1mm he was getting was too low.

i agree he should be paid more than trent was being paid, but he needs a big tourny appearance before a raise. I do love the direction we are heading

Well deserved.

I'd say he was quite obviously worthy of being paid higher than 12th in the SEC, but I'm not 100% sure on the timing here. I really think this season will tell us a lot about the direction we're really headed, so the logical choice for me would have been to address his contract after this year. When was his last contract set to be up?

I think getting paid 12th in the SEC is about right considering his accomplishments (zilch) and overall resume (thin).

TJ had a nice contract because he had a really nice NCAA tourney run, and had a great resume from Stanford.

Missouri's coach has a base contract of $1.1 million. Does JJ deserve more than him?
