I wasn't that impressed...

I got the pulled pork with coleslaw and the homemade chips.

The pulled pork was flavorless, the coleslaw had no tang, and the chips needed a lot of salt, although none was on the tables...

It has a long ways to be Cochon Butcher.

I had a similar experience. The only flavor I got from the pork was from the brine. Salty as hell, no smoky BBQ flavor. On top of that, they didn't really use any bbq sauce on the sandwich. On a bbq sandwich where the meat has actual bbq flavor, it is OK to use little to no BBQ sauce, but since the meat didn't really stand up on its own, I'd have liked a little more sauce to compensate.

I found the chips to be over salted as well.

One bright spot is the pickles, as other posters have mentioned. So, if spending $15 on a sandwich with little flavor is your idea of a good time, by all means hit up city pork. Otherwise, I'd just wait until the next time you are in New Orleans and hit up Butcher; the place city pork is desperately trying to be.

I definitely think I like the concept of City Pork more than I like City Pork
