One of the guys at my office was getting those calls. I had an old prepaid Visa card with $1.29 left on it. Wasn't good for anything else so I gave it to him. Idea was to pretend to be interested and waste their time, then give them the bogus card. Best case was they would run it for $1, see that it was "good", sell it to criminals, and get murdered when the card turned out to be useless. Worst case was waste a few minutes of their time.

I would get those at the office at my last job, and I would fake an Indian accent and pretend to be interested. Since I had a little trouble with English it made the call take longer. I'd always finish by pretending I left my credick card at home and didn't know the number off the top of my head, but they could call me at home after 6pm. Then I'd give them the Rickroll number or a rejection line.

why hasnt the govt or whoever stopped this fawkin phone calls? i mean seriously they are trying to scam people why havent they got popped yet?
