First, there's little doubt that athletically, to anyone observing, that Harris has more tools.

It is not just that, most people feel that Harris is the future of LSU at the QB position. Jennings is only a sophomore and from his play so far and if you extrapolate that out going forward he is not leaving early for the NFL. So if Harris is truly the future of LSU football is he going to get his opportunity when he is a senior? I can promise you, he is not the kind of player to stick around that long. Can Harris pass up Jennings in the offseason and take over the starting job? Sure he can but then all the rookie mistakes that are made will be made next year or the following year whenever he takes over.

I think most people are saying that since at this point all we are realistically playing for is which bowl we are going to "which is obviously important but not as important as vying for an SEC championship next year" let's take our lumps now go with the QB that we feel gives us the best chance to win an SEC & Naty championship next year and beyond. Is it fair to this years seniors? No not exactly, but unfortunately life is not always fair! As much as we wish it was.

Harris starting the AU game was the stupidest thing I have seen in a while from the LSU coaching staff simply for the fact that AU is an extremely good team and we were playing in an extremely hostile environment. I wish they would have recognized that more in the decision, no matter how bad Jennings played the week before and waited until Harris was in the confines of Death Valley to start him.

Jennings is a game manager plain and simple. Harris is a game changer plain and simple. At the QB position the last game manager we had was JJ the last game changer we had was Mett. To me the question is pretty simple after watching the 2 QB's play who would you prefer to run the offense at LSU JJ or Mett. To me that is the same question between Jennings and Harris. So personally I would prefer to take our lumps this year since we realistically can't win an SEC championship this year and play Harris so he can continue to get the feel of the game and continue to progress as a QB in the SEC playing against SEC teams.

Not playing Harris is just delaying his growth as a QB and delaying what he can do for LSU.
