Because they put a disclaimer on the page that says something like "This is a free trial and you may cancel at any time. If you do not cancel at the end of the free trial period you will be billed at the normal monthly rate."

No shite. I did this before to get Experian score some time after my bankruptcy. just called 15 minutes after getting my score and cancelled.
