Yea I doubt I try to pull anymore hooks. It was a pain in the arse.

I'm thinking I'll clean most that are caught going forward. Get enough meat and cook em up.

Everytime I caught one, I'd call up a friend who liked em. I didn't actually kill em, but I got rid of em just the same. He would put em in a 55 gallon drum and feed em dog food for about a month, then he'd dress em out and save the meat til he had enough for a turtle cook. Try some breakfast bacon the next time. Best bait I've ever used. Ya gotta thread it on there pretty good, though. Place the baited hook as far upstream from your discharge or overflow as you can. The smell will drift downstream and the snappers will follow it all the way up the pond to the bait.

Those common snappers furnish well. If they weigh 8 lbs you get about 1/2 that in meat. 4lbs at 12 bucks pound is worth your time.
