Zone read wasn't stolen from Auburn. Rich Rodriguez should be given credit for that over a decade ago.

Sorry, I was not crediting the origin of the concept of the read option out of the shotgun to Auburn. I was referring to their POP (play option pass) that Pete Carroll stole from Malzahn this year and Wilson uses often. He used it last Sunday to win against the Redskins, another team running the option. That play involves Marshall optioning the run to the perimeter and drawing up before he crosses the LOS and tossing a POP pass over the rushers who have left the WR open to stop the run.
