ACE buying Chubb, even if it gets held up, is interesting to me. Both should benefit from a higher interest rate climate, and both within reason are conservative. Nice yield(s). Chubb is trading at its buyout price, but I think ACE is attractive at current levels for the reasons mentioned above, and a bunch of others I won't bore you with.

I generally like regional property/casualty insurers, so this is a departure from what I normally do. We'll be through the 2nd quarter which is treacherous for a lot of these carriers. Having said this, both Ace and Chubb, given their national and international exposures, are tougher to predict from a cat. loss perspective.

Not very exciting. Most of what I do isn't.
