The NHL on TV (or not on TV) is a problem. It's one of the main reasons people just aren't into hockey.
Once ESPN dropped Hockey, the league hasn't been able to match the revenue that they were bringing in since (I don't think.)
I mean for crying out loud, the NHL NETWORK...a channel devoted to nothing but the NHL...airs one...maybe two games a week.
Center Ice is affordable compared to the NFL plan, but casual viewers aren't gonna fork that out.
I just don't get how you're supposed to build interest in the sport without making a legit effort to get more games on tv
