Yeah...I mean it certainly looked like it.
I'm thinking more along the lines of what happened with Firestorm. Clearly Wells' DNA is still around, which is why when they tested it against the Nora Allen crime scene it wasn't there. What if...and I'm just spit balling here...Wells is still present in some form within RF? What if Thawne is able to get what he needs and in doing so releases Wells in some way?
I know I know...but it's not like they couldn't pull something like that out of their asses to keep the Wells father figure to Barry around. Now that Barry knows, that relationship is tainted and can't last long.

I suppose it is possible. I’m not familiar with the comics but is RF supposed to be smart enough to build the accelerator? I know he knows the future but you’d still have to be pretty smart. If not, seems like the original Wells would have to be in there a little, right?
