That makes sense. Remember Cisco saying that while older Barry's DNA was at the scene of Barry's Mom's murder, Wells' was not. Thawne was still Thawne when he killed the mom, and then afterwards turned in Wells.
Gotta' be honest...I like the Wells character, so if there's a way to have this new Thawne stay Reverse Flash AND get the actual Wells back played by the same actor, I'd be for it.

I'm pretty positive the real wells is dead. I was hoping for the same tho.
