The Ark. game is not the one that stands out here, but rather the SECCG against UGA. LSU had ZERO first downs in the first half. If not for a few bad plays by UGA, coupled with Mathieu's exceptional returns, that first half could have gotten really ugly.
For the first time since Miles went to this ultra-conservative offense (2009), he doesn't have an outstanding defense to keep the game close until the offensive lucks into a big play or wears the opponent down in the 4th. 2013 was a complete aberration on offense. Does that mean that LSU is waiting until they get a 5th year Sr. QB, two all-conf WR and the best RB in 15 years to come out of their shell again on offense? That could be another 10 years, if ever!!!!
Exactly.

and for that matter how we have won...see some of the non conference games in the past and 2010 UT game in TS.

I agree with you and I add that there is no excuse for a team in the sixth game to continue to allow quarterbacks to run free up the middle. That is a scheme problem. Someone has to key that quarterback and no correction has been made. It killed us against State and hurt badly against Auburn. And I go to on for hours on the determination to run the I formation offense when the line just can't open a hole.

The issue is the two losses. LSU did not just lose...it got embarrassed in both games
This. I bleed purple/gold and I'm a season ticket holder for over 20 years. What bothers me more than anything is the way we play, the play calling, and the appearance of the lack of effort by the entire defense. The Miss State and Auburn game was absolutely pitiful.

losing to other teams because their coaches let them smoke marijuana and so they are getting all the recruits instead of us.
Why does les miles have to be so tough on marijuana, when other coaches aren't.

Losing to Moo by 5 actually doesn't seem to shabby at this point. I think its LSU's best performance of the year. Maybe if Les hadn't been a dumbass and gone for two earlier on in the game....

Even down 17-0 to Auburn I had hope. Hope that the Mad Hatter would reach into his bag of tricks, and pull out a fake FG or punt. But...nothing.
In the early days of Les, you truly didn't know what was coming, you expected something to happen, and it was FUN.
Bring Back The Magic.

Auburn went 0-8 in the SEC, then won the SEC the next year. They got their doors blown off a couple times that first year as well.
Welcome new fan. Hint this isn't Miles first, second, nor third year.

MSU score was smoke and mirrors. LSU was trounced in that game and Mullens just called off the dogs. If LSU would have actually won that game, I would have been happy with the win, but it would have been a travesty.
No one likes to lose; however, a loss is easier to accept/cope with if you know you played the best game you could and the other team was just better. No one can look at MSU and Auburn and say that.
