It would be just for streaming tidal and Spotify probably 95% of the time. Airplay isn’t that big of a deal as I don’t have a huge library of music. Plus is I’m playing a concert or something on my TV, it’s going through my Apple TV. My TV is connected via an optical output to my Vena and in turn to my Vandersteens.
I have a quad vena, so technically I don’t need a DAC. But most of the streamers seem to come with a DAC. Now whether that’s better than the Quad’s DAC or not, I don’t know.

Hadn't heard of that so had to look it up. Looks like a nice piece, and the DAC is pretty stout. So I'd be looking with that in mind. Looks like the 4 models mentioned have at least some form of digital out, most offer both coax & SPDIF.
The Vena has a USB input so you could also connect a computer directly to it if that's an option to consider. Like, if you already have a laptop you could re-purpose for no cost.
