My old crappy receiver broke and I needed to get a new one. I started searching on craigslist and saw some old silver faced receivers that looked pretty awesome. I did some research and talked to my dad about the best brands. I first bought a Yamaha CR-640. It sounded very good, but I really wanted a nice marantz. They are by no means top of the line, but weren't cheap either. I didn't want to spend several thousand dollars on a setup, and the '70s marantz systems were very well built and looked awesome, so I knew I wanted one.

I've owned and sold about 10 different marantz receivers in the past 2-3 years. It just became a hobby of mine to find scores on craigslist and fix and flip them.

I love my scope.
