I swear i was coming on here to say something lit a fire up his arse!
Been slammed at the office and this was the first I've looked since my last post. Gonna do audioquest for the cables b/c they had some better versions in closeouts. Got good deals on them.
Vandys: apparently are bi-wire now
Cables: audioquest rocket 33s, only have bananas (he is gonna have them put spades on the speaker end at their store (no charge), the bananas will work in the vena
Interconnects: audioquest king cobra
Appreciate it Marco!
Oh, he threw in the stands as well!

Late mellow spin...just killed a bottle of Decoy (on sale at Rouses for $19.99 right now!)...Happy Mardi Gras!
Milo Greene (self-titled...autographs from the OEJ show last year)...2012 Chop Shop/Atlantic records
This is the album I spun on trains on both our Europe trips to catch a few minutes of sleep before a new adventure. Amazing how music can take you to a specific place and time...

Ol footloose. Ha
Hey man, do I need to get a good power conditioner/strip? i say good and it's probably more along the lines of decent.
I see you can get the "strips" or they have the better ones which are sort of the size of an amp.

I have one of These Furman power conditioners in a smaller system. I believe it ran $350 or so. Check their site under Home Theater Power and Compact Power. The Compact Power line will probably be in the $200 range for 6 outlets. They are 15 Amp models...you don't need a 20 amp conditioner for your use.
You can also get 15-20% off of Furman if you get it from a larger distributor--they are a big player in the pro audio world. Their gear is well built and solid performers.

Here it is at Audio Advisor...$399...but you can probably get it for $350. They carry a few lesser models as well.

The Furman PST-8...8 outlets....$199.
The Furman PST-6...6 outlets....$99 (a couple fewer features than the "8"--not just 2 fewer outlets for $100 less)

Does anyone here know the rough cost of replacing a capacitor on an older model Scott 480A integrated amp?
The protection light will not go off, so this is what I believe is wrong with it.
...or if it's even worth fixing?

A simple capacitor like any of these? If you're a Diy guy and have a soldering iron, it can be done for a couple of bucks and about 10 minutes worth of work.

Yea, I'm not. LOL

That's too bad, soldering is pretty easy and an entry level iron can be had cheap. It's a good skill to learn and can save you a ton of money.
